After the success of our 4ft to 6ft range of flail mowers in the early part of the year we found that many of our customers had compact tractors at the 12-14hp mark were struggling to find a flail mower to suit their tractor.
Of course there was the option of a conventional finishing mower, the wheels are a great feature to hold the weight of the mower for a lighter weight tractor. However the triple blade design meant that their tractors struggled to run the blades on any unkempt areas.
A conventional topper mower solves this problem with the direct drive to the blade carrier and blades, perfect for topping the paddock. Again the mower faltered where the square design reduces manoeuvrability and adds weight to the back of the machine, not at all ideal for a small compact tractor.
Introducing the Compact Range
The narrower width and lighter components on the range also reduce the horse power requirements, meaning compact tractors with 12hp can run the flail mower.
Hammer blades are as standard to ensure that the mower can tackle longer grass and any uneven areas where a topper/finishing mower may scalp the ground.
85cm width requires 12hp upwards, 105cm recommended 15hp minimum.
